They have so much to choose from, and Tonya and Heather will be sure to help you find the perfect wedding dress for your shape AND budget! I was lucky enough to interview Tonya (the owner) for a story more than a year before I was even engaged, and when it came time to look for a wedding dress I knew I'd go back to her - she made quite the lasting impression on me! I felt like an absolute princess, not only on my wedding day, but also every other time in between I came in to try on my dress just for the fun of it! If you go to A Carolina Wedding, I guarantee Tonya and Heather will leave a lasting impression on you, too!

The ladies at A Carolina Wedding were really wonderful! I'd had horrible experiences at the previous four stores I'd been to, but this was totally different. From the moment I walked in with my (very particular) future mother-in-law, the girls were all southern charm and hospitality. I was able to describe exactly what I wanted and what my price range was, and they brought me about 10 dresses to try on - but the first dress was the one! My MiL insisted I try on another couple to make sure the dress was the right one, and they patiently waited through the whole extravaganza. They stayed on top of everything and contacted me with regular updates on the status of my dress, being truly understanding about the payment schedule, since we live abroad and getting the check to them always too some time. The dress arrived four months later (just as they said it would), and when I came in for my fitting, the seamstress came in, pinned my bustle and pinned where the gown had to be taken in, and had me out of there in less than half an hour. She had the alterations finished a few days later, and when I came to pick up the dress, they had me try it on one last time before pressing it again. I also picked up a gorgeous veil on my last visit - I really couldn't stomach spending over $100 on what is essentially a piece of gauze - and they had a great selection at really reasonable prices. All in all, a really great experience, and I got a gorgeous dress - that fit me perfectly - and a beautiful veil.

Where ever you live if you are in the market for a wedding gown I highly reccomend these women to you. They are amazing. After visiting 5 other dress shops and about to give up I fell into their hands and they jumped through hoops to get me the exact dress that I was looking for in time for the wedding. My dress was stunning!!! They were so helpful in getting the dress, arranging for alterations, staying after hours so I could have the alterations, and helping me with shoes ect. You will not find service, kindness, as big a selection and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that you are well taken care of anywhere but here. They are the best Dress salon ever and I would travel there again to buy a special dress from them!!!! They truly are genuine about placing you and your needs first and will do anything to make it happen. It was a fun experience with them.

I actually purchased my dress at Elegant Brides, but after the merger was left to deal with A Carolina Wedding. I was very nervous about the change, but have to say that it turned out better than I could have ever imagined. Heather is such an amazing benefit to their company, and provided me with all the help that I could have imagined. They were very responsive to my needs, and even let me come in numerous times to try on my dress before the wedding, just because. My bridesmaid dresses, and mother of the bride dress were also ordered through their company, and I couldn't have been more pleased. I highly reccommend A Carolina Wedding to any bride!

The girls at A Carolina Wedding were great for the most part. Didn't score them as high for quality of service because my bustle didn't last. Also..they were supposed to have the dress steamed for me on Friday at 3..didn't get it until Friday at 6 but they did deliver it to my B and B.

A Carolina Wedding has a great selection on dresses. I absolutely loved mine, but the service is horrible. While I was in the store searching for dresses, it was great-- the girls were helping me for the most part. But after I bought my dress, it was like I couldn't get up with them, they weren't helpful and they didn't go out of their way to help me with anything. I needed to get my dress altered and they have no in-house seamtresses. I had to call a number of women, only one called me back and she wanted me to drive all the way to DELCO to alter my dress. She wouldn't even come into the store. I had to call another bridal shop to find a seamtress. In addition, with the pruchase of the dress, you are to have your dress steamed before the wedding. They didn't want to do mine. They knew for a year when my wedding date was, but still said they couldn't steam my dress. Finally my mom was able to get them to do.These women are nice to you in the store when they want to buy their dresses, but trust me-- they have no follow through. Don't expect great service once you buy the dress. Trust me.

So I actually purchased my gown from Elegant Brides, but they merged with A Carolina Wedding before my wedding. So my beautiful gown that I purchased from Elegant Brides was transfered to the new downtown location, A Carolina Wedding. I had new people to work with, after I had gotten used to the girls at EB. THe only familiar face was the women doing my alterations, she had to finish out all the weddings she already had alterations scheduled for. Anyhow-- come the day before my wedding, the my gown and bridesmaids dresses wern't ready for pick up. They wern't pressed as they should have been, and pretty much worked up until the last minute to get all the dresses and my gown pressed. This was very unprofessional. Had my bridesmaids whom picked up the dresses not been so adamant about my gown, I would have walked down the isle in wrinkles! They made them re-press my dress b/c it looked so aweful. Also, durning my reception, my bussel kept falling out! Very bad, because my beautiful gown was dragging all over the ground! My recommendation to you: if you buy your gown from this vendor, make sure they have your gown and other dresses pressed well in advance (at least a few hours before your scheduled pick up). Make sure you ask your tailor about your bussel--you don't want it constantly coming out through the night!!

I would not recommend this store to ANYONE...Heather was extremely helpful the first time I went in there to purchase a dress - however it then took 8 months to get my dress in the store after I was told it would only take 2 months. They claimed to have an issue with the vendor for mispayment...which was their fault. They never answer the phone and they certainly don't have a set schedule! They also ordered the incorrect veil and tried to convince me that I had selected that one...I also did my invitations through them and had to ask 4 times to get all of the invitations from them - they missed about 50 invitations out of a total of 140...Most of my guests were from Vermont and unknown to me the abbreviation for Vermont is now VA instead of VT...serioulsy put some effort in! I paid for everything in advance and was beyond dissatisfied with the service. Heather screamed at me on the phone and then hung up on me numerous times and Tonya is supposed to be the manager but clearly has no pull at all - she couldn't fix anything but promised she would until she was blue in the face. I was in the store crying more than smiling. The last interaction I had with them was when I picked up my dress - I tried it on and they had one mirror with a huge crack down the center of it - they told me it broke the week before...real nice!!STAY AWAY!!!
