Absolutely 5 Stars!!! As the parents of the groom, we held our rehearsal dinner at Debra's Argyle restaurant. The total experience from start to finish couldn't have been any easier. Debra has been doing this for a long time and her expertise makes all the difference. From start to finish it has been total peace of mind. The planning, the food, the service, and oh yes, did I mention the price? I was truly amazed at the reasonable cost and the quality / selection of menu choices. If you want your wedding/ rehearsal dinner to be perfect then Argyles is the place you should book!

Absolutely scrumcious cupcakes!! The guests at my daughter's wedding loved the variety of cupcakes and especially the tasty and beautiful white chocolate shells that embellished each one. My daughter even requested a speciific flavor the vendor had never done and it turned out to be everyone's favorite! Their icing is the best I've ever had. Great job!

Debra saved my wedding! Our caterer backed out 3 weeks before our wedding date and Debra carved out some time for us, met our dinner requests and budget and showed up with a big smile on her face. I truly cannot say how much it meant to us to have her there! She and her team were so well received that seemed to be more guests than staff - we even had guests chatting and dancing with the bartenders! We dined on our favorites: macaroni and cheese, garlic mashed potatoes, mouth watering chicken and tender steak. Guests are still reminding us how delicious the food was! Debra even assisted my sister-in-law (our cake baker) with a minor emergency. She couldn't get the tiers of the wedding stand to snap together and began to panic. Debra swooped in with a quick fix and saved us, yet again. I am in love with this woman and the work that she does! Her team is amazing and I cannot recommend...

Debra made a white chocolate cake with italian meringue buttercreme frosting for my wedding in Duck, NC. She was patient as I decided on a flavor and design. It was so easy working with her and the finished product was amazing. I provided a picture of the design I wanted via email and provided ribbon and fresh flowers for the design. Debra did the rest! The cake looked exactly like the design I sent her and tasted fantastic. Guests at my wedding were eating multiple slices of cake because it was so wonderful. Thank you to Debra for this fabulous cake and wonderful experience!

YUM! This cake was absolutely delicious!!! We were unable to make the cake testing when we were doing our planning weekend due to a family emergency so we had to cross our fingers that the flavors they reccomended would be delicious. Were they ever!!!! We had the Key Lime, Chocolate Eclair and White Chocolate Raspberry and they were all amazingly delicious!!! Everyone loved the cake and we had plenty left over to munch on the rest of the week. They were on time and the set up was gorgeous. I could not have imagined a better cake!

I called a few days before arriving in the Outer Banks to get a cake...because our baker was unable to take care of it as planned. This was the most amazing and absolutely delicious wedding cake I have ever, ever had, bar none! It was Key Lime White Chocolate and we just bought the top tier (10" round)...with the white chocolate shells on top as usual, and lighthouses around the sides. They were going to deliver it to the Inn at Corolla Light, but since we had to go through on our way, we picked it up. The owner of Argyle's was so sweet and personable. He offered to do brunch for us the next day, if we wanted, and invited us back for a small party whenever we liked. All we need do is call and let him know what we would like to have, and he would make sure it was put together. I am so looking forward to going back. I tried to order the same cake for our one-month anniversary, but they don't ship, and Wake Forest is too far to go pick it up. I tried to make some semblance of it with no success at all. Icing on the Cakes, a subsidiary of Argyles, provided us with some fantastic cupcakes for our Halloween-themed wedding. Debra was awesome to work with and did a fantastic job creating delicious cupcakes in many flavors and fillings. She went the extra mile to add little Halloween-esque notions on top of them...bats, black cats, witch hats and spiders. There wasn't a single cupcake left by the end of the event!! As cupcakes are becoming more popular for weddings, and it was hard to find an OBX vendor that would do cupcakes instead of a traditional wedding cake, your best bet is Icing on the Cakes!!

We used Argyles for our catering, alcohol, cake and most of our rentals. In the end, they did an AMAZING JOB. Since our venue doesn't have an onsite kitchen, they brought everything they needed and were well prepared. They were professional all the way. Debra and her Daughter, Ashley are awesome. My wedding guests raved about the cake!! The best we've ever tasted! COCONUT SHRIMP = HEAVEN! :) They made my wedding perfect...

Debra was wonderful. We visited 4 caterers during a trip to the OBX and she was the only one who provided us with a tasting. The food sold itself! Her and her husband came with a crew and everyone was so nice, professional and great. They even had a plate made up for the groom and I to eat during the pictures because they knew we wouldn't have time the rest of the night. The bartender and waitstaff were great and made us feel really special! Everyone loved the food, and people have said that the White Chocolate Key Lime cake was the best wedding cake they've ever had.

I chose Argyles for their assortment of types of foods (especially the Italian) and I was so pleased when I spoke with Debra for the first time. We immediately connected and I was immediately set that she would be our caterer. She went above and beyond the duty of a caterer due to the fact that I live in PA and she is located in NC where I got married. She was flexible with the packages, setting of the reception, etc. The day of the wedding didn't turn out as I had hoped because of the weather. At the last minute we had to change the entire ceremony and reception from outside to inside which put the time schedule a bit behind. I was a bit disappointed that it took a very long time to set up for the meal which left us over an hour behind for the rest of the evening. The reception area did look beautiful and the cake tasted great as well. Other than that, the food was amazing (everyone was pleased), the drinks were constant and quality and at the end of the evening, the home was cleaned up completely with everything packed up and ready for the rental company the next morning.

They had great cake at an amazing price. I had a general idea of what I wanted and they did an outstanding job of transforming it into our wedding cake. So many of our guests said it was the best cake they had ever had

Everyone has good food!! It was Debra's experience in the OBX catering business that made her stand out in the crowd. Two weeks before our wedding, Hurricane Irene washed out the road to Hatteras Island. We learned it would be impossible to get married at our planned event home, The Love Boat. We found ourselves in a last minute scramble to find a place to get married. Talk about stress!!! Debra also had to evacuate during the hurricane, but she still answered her cell phone on her way back home to help me re-locate my wedding!! She immediately went online and emailed me links to event homes that would work for our wedding. With her help we were able to easily relocate our wedding to Corolla... And we absolutely loved the house! She was our caterer, not a wedding planner... But for a short time, she served as both!! The service on our wedding day was very good... However, I didn't get a chance to try all of the food. We were too busy running around! I did love the Coconut Shrimp and artichoke pasta.

They were really great to work with in all honestly, however the food was average. The cake though was AMAZING. It came free with the cost of the catering meal we ordered and they designed it exactly the way I wanted. I sent them an 'inspiration photo' about 6 months beforehand and the cake looked nearly identical. It was perfect and it was VERY delicious. They have tons of different flavors for cake, so no matter where you get your catering from, get your cake from Argyle's! We had chocolate cake with cannoli filling - to die for! Best of luck!
