Also recommended by The Balcony on Dock, Brian from Active Entertainment was great! He was flexible and understanding about meeting only the day before the wedding and still managed to understand our tastes and get everything just right! He was fantastic at reading the crowd and knowing when to speed up or slow down the music.

If you want a DJ in Wilmington, Active Entertainment is the only way to go. They were professional and easy to work with. I had song changes just hours before the reception, and they were fine with it. I loved working with these guys!

Jay Tatum of Active Entertainment DJd our wedding and it was one of the best choices we made! He was able to read the crowd and knew just what to play at the right time. Jay also MCd everything to perfection and I didn't have to worry about a thing. We also had the Active Booth and everyone raved about how much fun it was all night. They must have had at least 100 props to choose from!

Brian Hood worked our wedding on Bald Head Island. We were pretty specific with our preferences and he was very accommodating. Brian also knew exactly what to do regarding logistics of getting on/off the island with equipment, which made things very easy on our part. Overall, we couldn't be more pleased with his and Active DJ Entertainment's service.

Jay was AWESOME! Each time we met, he was so helpful in making sure the music was exactly what we wanted. Our wedding reception was so much fun and we owe a big thanks to Jay! So many of our guests mentioned how great the music was and what a great job Jay did. Thanks Jay for all you did!

Jason was a geat DJ to to wok with. Not only was he uick at esponding to my emails o phone calls, but he also played exactl what I asked of him and even euests that wee made by my guests. Jason Tatum at Active DJ Entertainment provided the music for our wedding reception. He kept the evening running smoothly. I even had last minute changes that he incorporated into our introductions. I've heard of so many horror stories about wedding DJs, but Jason was a complete professional and everybody danced and had a good time!

All fives is not a joke or an exaggeration! Jay was the best DJ I've ever heard or worked with. He sat down with us multiple times before the big day to get to know us, our style and what kind of music we like. We was fun, professional and didn't miss a beat. The music for each part of the night fit perfectly. He paid attention to little details and also served as an awesome MC. Our guests never left the dance floor, and people are still talking about how great the DJ was. If you're getting married in Wilmington, go with Active Entertainment!

The Active Entertainment DJ was wonderful and worked with the bride and groom to understand the types of guests and types and genres of music desired. The DJ was prepared and professional and had the majority of the guests dancing until midnight. Highly recommend their services and would definitely use them again.

Jason Tatum was the perfect choice for our wedding! We have pretty specific tastes in music and Jay was able to incorporate our crazy requests for obscure indie folk music with crowd pleasers that keptthe dance floor bumping all night! Jay was a great MC and was responsive to all our questions and requests despite hurricane Irene blowing through town only a few days before! Whether it was using remixed tracks from our euro-friends, taking requests from crazy aunts, or getting our athlete friends to cut-a-rug with a hardcore hipster buddies, Jay worked the crowd in a way that was really fun and outrageous but was also subtle enough to let us shine. This guy clearly knows what he's doing and really lightened our load during our wedding weekend, so glad we found him! Throw in Beverly and the ultra-sweet Activebooth (she was a peach, btw.) and Active Entertainment was a great choice for our wedding day!Mackenzie and Marc Wartenberger, sept. 1, 2011

Brian Hood made my wedding amazing. He crossed generations by playing amazing music. Jay also was a great personable contact. I felt that they really understood what I wanted. I also used them to have a photobooth....love love love them

Our DJ was amazing! I am the youngest of 4 girls, and the DJ's at my sister's weddings did not compare! A good/bad DJ can make or break your reception, and Charles definitely made ours :) I highly reccommend Active Entertainment for everyone's wedding.

Jason is so easy to get along with, his personality makes you immediately comfortable and you never doubt that he'll deliver a good time for your event. That being said, he's also very serious about his work, and it shows. He was there to make sure our day went as smoothly as possible. He triple-checked all of the points we had discussed. He reviewed the pronunciation of our wedding party members' names numerous times. We could not have been happier with his work. We're still hearing great feedback from our guests.
