When planning our own wedding five years ago, for my husband and myself , photography was absolutely one of the most important elements. Style-wise, we wanted someone who could capture those "bring the moment back to life" candids, but also balance that with the ability to create fantastic portraits. It was important to me to have a few really good, never looked better in my life, pictures of myself. If you can't have that on your wedding day, when can you, right?

We wanted someone who was able to blend in and be unobtrusive, but who also knew when to step up and take control when the situation called for it. We wanted someone who was enjoyable to work with and who would interact well with our guests.
Now, I use this as my basic approach to shooting a wedding. I start with the way I wanted my own wedding shot, and then because every wedding is unique, adjust that to each individual couple.
A little bit more about me: I live in Raleigh with my husband, David (who is also a professional photographer), our three dogs, two horses, one donkey and four chickens. Besides photography, traveling and experiencing different cultures is one of our biggest passions.
